BRUTAL x MANO MANI Exclusive Collection: Ikebana Vases
A UNIQUE COLLABORATION
BRUTAL Ceramics and MANO MANI have partnered to present an exclusive collection of Ikebana vases, created especially for this exceptional collaboration. This capsule collection brings together unique pieces, carefully designed and selected to offer a unique experience of Japanese floral art.
IKEBANA VASES: Japanese floral art reinvented
These clever little flower-stake vases revolutionize the approach to floral art by allowing anyone to easily create refined compositions, inspired by Ikebana, the ancient Japanese floral art.
The innovation lies in their ingenious design: no more Kenzan, those spiked metal plates traditionally used to hold stems. The Bulb (closed) and Corolla (open) vases in this exclusive collection directly incorporate notches allowing you to easily slide your stems in. Then simply pour in a little clear water, and your arrangement comes to life.
These vases were born from a deep desire: to be able to create bold, graphic compositions with next to nothing. A few pretty stems purchased from your florist, branches gathered during a walk, wildflowers... everything becomes an excuse to create.
Their small, carefully designed size allows them to delicately adorn cheerful tables without ever getting in the way of guests. Sold in their attractive, custom-made wooden box, they make an ideal gift for anyone who wants to bring a breath of natural beauty into their daily lives.

ABOUT MANO MANI & JULIE BOUCHERAT
BIOGRAPHY & ARTISTIC APPROACH
Founded in 2019 by Julie Boucherat, MANO MANI is much more than just a ceramics studio. It's a true domestic arts laboratory with free and spontaneous collections, modeled as a transversal and poetic creative space. MANO MANI's mission? To offer a collection of functional pieces and unique objects, both sensitive and accessible.
Julie Boucherat is a ceramic artist who lives and works in her studio-boutique located in Bayonne, in the heart of the Basque Country. In this land of abundant nature, steeped in myths and traditions, she draws an inexhaustible source of inspiration to imagine and shape her stoneware pieces with their raw lines, endearing shapes, and rich textures.
Her artistic approach is distinguished by the use of enamels derived from her own research and her commitment to local production. Julie favors a variety of firing methods, including wood-fired Anagama kilns, an ancestral technique that gives her creations an authentic and unique dimension.
Julie Boucherat's artistic approach is characterized by spontaneity and a strong connection to context. It is particularly during exhibitions that she expresses the full diversity of her approach, revealing her pronounced taste for scenography and atmospheric creation. She enjoys crossing the arts by surrounding herself with artists with diverse practices—video, music, performing arts—in order to offer the public a holistic experience, imbued with poetry.
The TOBI ISHI exhibition, his latest "immersive ceramic" creation presented in a majestic disused chapel in the Landes region, perfectly illustrates this holistic vision of art, where the ceramic object dialogues with the space and creates a true sensory experience.
With this exclusive BRUTAL x MANO MANI collaboration, Japanese floral art becomes accessible to all, transforming each gesture into a moment of contemplation and creativity.
