Lucie Micheau

It was in 2019 that Lucie Micheau applied to the House of Ceramics in Dieulefit.

Inspired and nourished by her collections of materials, Lucie evolves in mineral universes in perpetual motion. She plays with the discoveries revealed by her external environment when she mixes the materials that will decorate her pieces. These materials carry a narrative woven between all the places she visits, a tenuous link between their place of origin and her peregrinations . At the turn of a trip, a word, a geology book, this quest leads him to research between chance and pursuit. She inscribes a story well beyond ceramics, an opening on the past of rocks and their transformation.

She works with simple, refined forms, shaped in a dynamic and personal movement, in order to bring out the forms of the living. They are everyday objects, precious and intimate.

She presents here a research work around utilitarian forms declined in small series. Her common thread is experimentation and intuition, guiding her step by step towards an ever-evolving path. The materials used for the decor are for the most part harvested by him, and used in multiple forms, in their game between the different lands.

Lucie creates a shared ceramic workshop, the Pyrolyse Club in Ardèche, where she has settled since 2021.
