Simone Loo
Lou Thomas is a ceramist based in Paris.
Returning from a residence in Oaxaca, Mexico, she produced the Mexican series, which included her plates and her "bouboulita" vases in chamotte stoneware. Inspired by local crafts, these pieces are imbued with the codes and know-how taught to her by the "Maestra", Mexican craftswomen.
Today, Lou Thomas collaborates with Parisian chefs, for whom she imagines pieces in line with their cuisine.
At the same time, she collects clay herself at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. This earth, which allows him to do new research with an ultra local material, will be found in his next collection.
