Jerome Hirson
A native of Valenciennes in the North, Jérôme Hirson created his
workshop in 2010 in Berry. Since 2017, he has moved to a new workshop in a
old farmhouse in rubble and freestone, perched on a hill in South Touraine, under the breath of nature and the silence of the place.
Become one with the material and relearn the slowness of gestures: after fifteen years spent working on an assembly line in the automotive industry, Jérôme found with sandstone something to give a new direction to his life as a worker.
His pieces are combined with an astonishing sobriety.
Jérôme's attachment to popular art is expressed in his creations of tableware pottery.
