Violaine Toth currently lives and works in Berlin, where she discovers new creative methods in various design studios and ceramic workshops.
In her practice, she challenges the different ways of using an everyday object by adding handles of different sizes and textures ranging from soft to rough. She likes her objects to be manipulated in order to appropriate the inherent function of objects. With her Black Moon collection, Violaine wanted her emotions through the dark colors of clay. The materiality of clay invites the viewer to interact and feel these emotions through osmosis.
