Héloïse Bariol

Red earthenware vase SP26HB06 H 23cm

€90,00

Piece handmade in Héloïse Bariol's workshop in Rouen.

Héloïse has set up a production of utilitarian pieces. Unique or in small series, they are made of red earthenware, thrown or hand-built. More or less slipped, decorated with metallic oxide juices and industrial colorants, glazed and fired in an electric kiln at around 1050°.
Through the production of ceramic volumes, which are most often everyday objects such as bowls, plates, dishes, and pitchers, Héloïse Bariol explores dialogues between forms and colors, as well as a field of interactions between the user, the object, and the surrounding space. In search of mobility, she attempts to question the porosity between different categories—utilitarian/sculpture, painting/sculpture, plane/volume—by exploring the material possibilities offered by ceramics.
