Ambre Hervo

Vase M in earthenware from Fuilet, H 21cm - white and grey

€570,00

Unique piece handmade by Ambre Hervo near Nantes.

The series of unique pieces "Pottery for Helga" is a personal reinterpretation of the Korean Moonjar.
Its antinomic aspect evokes the resilience of the earth in the face of fire; it is unclear whether the piece will flake away to reveal its initial form or whether it is mutating towards a more abstract and contemporary destination.

A ceramist for over fifteen years, based near Nantes (44), Ambre Hervo works with porcelain and some local clays mainly on the wheel to create utilitarian, decorative objects and lighting fixtures.
Inspired by the understated and minimalist look of the material, she likes to give her pieces an aesthetic that is both contemporary and imbued with traditional forms.

MATERIALS : Thrown in the Fuilet region (49), handcrafted clay enriched with iron, lightly sanded. Porcelain slip.
