Vase made exclusively for Brutal Ceramics by Yellow Nose Studio in Berlin.
This vase was placed in a container containing pieces of coal, newspapers and placed in the oven. The smoked appearance given to the surface gives a strong and unique character to the piece.
Each piece receives a numbered certificate of authenticity, and is wrapped in a cotton fabric, type furoshiki.
The Taiwanese duo Yellow Nose is through their work in search of the perfect balance between the organic and the inorganic, the logical and the emotional, the craftsmanship and the industrial design. Kai and Ying make individual handmade pieces and work in a wide range of natural and industrial settings
With their background in architecture, they aim to use raw and raw materials in unexpected and unpredictable ways.
