Lucia Mondadori explores the world of abstract and sculptural vases, raw materials, and organic, minimalist forms. In her studio, she creates pieces that blur the lines between functionality and art object. Collections emerge organically. Each piece is unique or produced in very limited series, entirely by hand.
The clay is locally sourced, and the glazes are the result of personal research. Inspiration comes from everywhere: shores, pebbles, feminine forms, but also primitive and abstract art. Lucia is passionate about the intersection of different cultures. Her aim is to offer, through her pieces, a moment of contemplation and a reconnection with the earth.
Lucia lives in Paris and works at the St Sabin workshop in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.
