Local clay cup 140ml - white and green
Handmade ceramic piece by Benoit Audureau in France.
Benoit likes preparing his own clay — raw clay, left as it is. His clays come from brickworks or small local potteries. They are ground down, and whatever is in the clay stays in the clay, so after firing these clays reveal all their imperfections. His output is based entirely on utilitarian pieces and small decorative series. The pieces are coated in a white magnesium glaze and fired in an electric kiln at 1270°. A white glaze that, depending on the clay, reveals shades of grey, blue or green.
