Nathalie Reocreux

Harvested stoneware mug 110ml fire cooking - Dark brown ocher

€48,00

Piece handmade in Nathalie Reocreux's workshop.

What Nathalie Reocreux enjoys most about ceramics is experimentation. Collecting materials, grinding them, pounding them, sifting them, mixing them, and revealing them with flame.
Nathalie Reocreux uses clay that the ceramist collects around her home in Brittany or during a trip, as well as clay from small farms. The process is very lengthy: she removes the largest stones and debris by pressing the clay between her fingers. The ceramist leaves the rest to create the decoration during firing.
Nathalie also uses materials that she finds to make her enamels (granite, quartz, schist, hematite, wood and plant ashes, etc.)
A production that takes time and leaves it to chance.
