Stoneware piece handmade by Apollonia Ceramics in Paris
Lorraine Grouvel is a Franco-Canadian ceramist now based in Paris. His pieces, signed under the name of his studio Apollonia Ceramics, are located in a raw, sober and fragility universe which is also found in the choice of his materials.
Lorraine began working with clay in 2014 in Montreal where she joined a community workshop. Returning to Paris in 2021, she continues her research into shapes and textures.
Working mainly in stoneware, porcelain and paper clay, she combines different modeling techniques.
