Samantha Kerdine

Painting "Villequier n°01" - 15x21cm - Earthenware

€340,00

Piece created in Samantha Kerdine's workshop.

Samantha Kerdine lives and works in Paris. Trained in design, she develops ceramic work at the boundary between function and image.

Her pieces take the form of vases, plates, paintings, or more free-form volumes. She is interested in domestic objects and ordinary scenes—the things that make up daily life, the fleeting moments. For her, painting on ceramics is a way of fixing in the material what would otherwise disappear.

"I got up and the mist had invaded the room.
The day before, a few orange highlights punctuated the pink of the sky at sunset; in the morning, only a cottony grey remained.

It was in Villequier.
I wanted to capture these sensations and freeze them in ceramics."

These pieces, specially produced by Brutal, will not be restocked. The selection is therefore unique and exclusive.
