Handmade ceramic piece by Benoit Audureau in France.
Benoit loves preparing clay — raw clay that is left undenatured. His clays come from brickworks or small local potteries. They are ground down, and everything contained in the clay stays in the clay; after firing, these earths reveal all their imperfections. His production is entirely focused on functional ware and small decorative series. The pieces are covered with a magnesium white glaze, fired in an electric kiln at 1270°. A white glaze that, depending on the clay, reveals nuances of grey, blue or green.
