After studying at the Fine Arts school in Lyon and then at the Decorative Arts school in Paris, Lisa Streich settled in Burgundy where she trained in pottery.
His pieces are part of the ongoing tradition of working with clay in Puisaye, with a heritage of traditional enamels as well as simple and functional forms.
Always searching, she particularly likes functional pieces which she shapes mainly on the potter's wheel and fires almost exclusively in reduction, with gas or wood.
Her donkeys, born from a trip to Egypt to study at the Fayoum school under Michel Pastore, are a true testing ground. She takes great pleasure in exploring this figure, which she enjoys reinterpreting by varying the clays and glazes when available.
