After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Lyon and then the Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Lisa Streich settled in Burgundy, where she trained in pottery.
Her pieces continue the clay-working tradition of the Puisaye region, drawing on a heritage of traditional glazes and of simple, functional forms.
Always experimenting, she has a particular fondness for everyday pieces, which she shapes mainly on the potter's wheel and fires almost exclusively in reduction, with gas or wood.
Her donkeys, born from a trip to Egypt at the Fayoum school with Michel Pastore, are a real field of experimentation. She takes great pleasure in working around this figure, varying clays and glazes.
