Studio MĀLS, founded in 2014 by ceramicist Nata Pestune, is a space dedicated to a minimalist and delicate aesthetic. Inspired by two years spent in China, Nata creates handmade pieces in stoneware and porcelain, favoring traditional wheel-throwing and slip-casting techniques.
She develops understated and refined collections, designed for everyday use as well as for gourmet and Michelin-starred restaurants. Her clean lines and natural palettes highlight the simplicity, functionality, and intrinsic beauty of clay.
She lives and works in Hamburg, Germany
In Latvian, “māls” means clay.
