Handmade piece from Samantha Kerdine's studio.
Samantha Kerdine lives and works in Paris. Trained in design, she develops ceramic work on the border between use and image.
Her pieces take the form of vases, plates, pictures, or freer volumes. She is drawn to domestic objects and ordinary scenes — what makes up daily life, what passes. For her, painting on ceramic is a way of fixing in matter what would otherwise disappear.
This series brings together painted small dishes with floral motifs alongside several recent experiments around the mirror and the lamp. She continues a body of work that varies recurring motifs, each object becoming a support for painting and the exploration of new formats
