Blue semi-porcelain plate handmade in the Japanese workshop of Makoto Saito.
His workshop is located in Seto in Aichi prefecture, one of the regions of Japan known for the production of ceramics. He produces fine and light shapes from semi-porcelain clay. He produces fine and light shapes on his potter's wheel from semi-porcelain clay. Once the pieces have been turned and dried, the porcelain pieces are engobed and enamelled using a natural sponge 4 times. This process makes the color and texture uneven and unique. Makoto Saito's pieces are not just dishes on our kitchen shelves, but are also beautiful objects to observe.
