Ceramic handmade by Hélène Maury in her workshop in the Lot.
Hélène handcrafts small batches of pieces in her home-studio, nestled among the fields of the Lot region. She shapes her ceramics freely and spontaneously. Her inspirations include simplicity, raw materials, the beauty of imperfection, color, and the wild nature surrounding her.
All her pottery is made from stoneware, and she creates her glazes in-house, carefully using only natural, non-toxic materials. These include mineral powders, wood ashes, and some natural oxides. Hélène places great importance on her environmental impact and the effects of manufacturing on our planet's health and the artisan's well-being. Her ceramics are designed and shaped by hand, currently primarily using the slow, ancestral techniques of modeling.
