Piece handmade in Paris by Céline Fischer
Céline Fischer is a devotee of uncharted territory. These are all the lands of the art world she has traveled since a young age, initially training in France, England, and Italy, in drawing, painting, and then mosaics—all materials used to express the language of her imagination.
After an initial stint in the world of fashion and then gastronomy, Céline put on her seven-league boots again to travel to Japan—a land of purity and shadow. With this instinctive taste for contrasting skies and the colors of nature, she decided to get her hands dirty again to create forms that were simple, precise, and useful. From then on, she continued her journey and refined her techniques in a Japanese ceramics workshop in Paris and with various ceramists passing through the capital.
Today, she has returned to her homeland in the 18th arrondissement of Paris where, enriched by her travels, she chooses to explore nearby lands (Burgundy or Normandy sandstone) and studies enamels to shape everyday objects on the wheel whose sensuality recalls the gourmet and curious stories of a traveler with a keen eye.
