Lucia Mondadori explores the world of abstract and sculptural vases, raw materials, organic and minimalist shapes. In her studio she creates pieces on the border between functionality and object of art. The collections are born over the water. Each piece is unique or made in a very limited series, entirely by hand.
The earth, almost always chamotted, is of local origin and the enamels come from personal research. Inspiration comes from everywhere: shores, pebbles, female forms, but also primitive and abstract art. The crossing of different cultures fascinates Lucia. Her goal is to bring with her pieces a moment of contemplation and re-connection with the earth.
Lucia lives in Paris and works at the St Sabin workshop in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.
