Piece made by hand in the studio of Malwina Kleparska, in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Malwina Kleparska is a ceramic artist and designer whose work combines sculptural forms and functional objects. Working primarily in sandstone, she uses traditional hand-building techniques such as coiling, rolling and pinching. Her hands are her main tools and by leaving visible marks of her fingertips in the soft clay, she wants to emphasize that each of her functional sculptures is unique.
Born and raised in Stockholm, Malwina has lived and worked since 2013 in Gothenburg, Sweden. His latest works focus on holes, where the hole itself becomes an interesting form in his sculptural pieces. Besides working in her own studio, Malwina also works as a ceramic teacher.
