Lucia Mondadori explores the world of abstract and sculptural vases, raw materials, organic and minimalist forms. In her workshop she creates pieces on the border between functionality and art object. The collections are born over time. Each piece is unique or made in a very limited series, entirely by hand.

The clay is of local origin and the enamels are the result of personal research. Inspiration comes from everywhere: the shores, the pebbles, the feminine forms, but also primitive and abstract art. The intersection of different cultures fascinates Lucia. His goal is to bring with his pieces a moment of contemplation and re-connection with the earth.

The Layla 3 is a sculptural vase entirely hand-modeled in white chamotte sandstone. It has an application of porcelain slip and is brush-glazed with a matte dolomite enamel made in the workshop.

Lucia lives in Paris and works at the St Sabin workshop in the 11th arrondissement of Paris.
