Amélie maintains a sensitive connection with the landscape. She collects clays, rocks and plants in nature to model and glaze her ceramics. The landscape is a pretext for making ceramics and ceramics a pretext for going into the landscape. A mixer of territories. She surveys, she gleans, she assembles materials from her wanderings in the Loire or the mountains. She transforms, she rehydrates, she pound, grinds and burns all her finds. An infinite game of experimentation and chance. Each modeled object is made up of a small intimate geography, witness to places surveyed, inspired by nature and resulting from it. Each firing is a surprise. The raw materials express themselves, the rocks stand out to give each of her pieces a free and spontaneous, textured and vibrant appearance.
