Piece made by hand in the Studio Racines workshop in Paris.
Philipp Kopatz created Studio Racines in 2018. He works in his Parisian studio where he shapes each piece by hand using the turning technique. Visually impaired, this young designer develops his work through contact with matter and the sensitivity of a particular touch. Remaining in formal simplicity, the same goes for the use of white or transparent enamels. The earth is then expressed by its natural shades and its different textures.
The use of stoneware fired at high temperature (1250°C) gives its pieces a particular resistance and density.
In smooth or chamotte sandstone, all its pieces evolve with use and use over time and make each piece even more unique and personal.
The cutting kit includes the ceramic cone + the glass container.
