Stoneware bowl handmade by Atelier Setsuko in Paris.
The ceramist Stéphane created the Setsuko workshop after several years of passionate practice of sandstone alongside Kayoko Hayasaki at the Mire workshop and professional training at the Chemins de terre workshop in Montreuil under the direction of Thierry Fouquet and Luna Salinas.
She named her workshop in honor of actress Setsuko Hara, icon in Master Ozu's films. She is also very interested in the beauty of ancient everyday and sacred objects from around the world. Through his work, in perpetual research, Stéphane likes to succeed in creating poetic and durable objects which will perhaps then pass from hand to hand until unknown times. Give meaning, a symbolic and emotional charge to objects.
