Bowl handmade in Denmark . This bowl is ideal for breakfasts, or salad, soup, pasta...
Hannah Blackall-Smith is an English ceramist living for 2 years in Copenhagen. Working almost exclusively on a potter's wheel with stoneware and porcelain fired at high temperatures, she makes timeless objects for everyday life. It aims to create a softly minimalist aesthetic that is both rustic and elegant. Inspiration comes from the soothing natural colors of the various clay bodies she uses as well as the Nordic design, simplicity and traditional British pottery techniques she has learned. Her favorite technique is the lathe, she often adds a fluted texture to some of her pieces. Creating visible traces and irregularities of the manufacturing process by hand is a form of communication with the final owner of the piece.
