Plate made by Masakazu Yoshida, a Japanese ceramist living and working in the city of Ashiya between Osaka and Kobe.
This Yukiwa (snowflakes) plate takes a traditional pattern in Japanese culture with the shape of snowflakes that will bring luck and blessing to life. The shape also reflects that nothing is perfect and reminds people to be humble and embrace imperfection.
His philosophy in the creation of pottery is for him a profession with pleasure and creativity. Masakazu creates works that are simple, elegant, beautiful and for use in daily life.
