Plate handmade by Marta Dervin in Ardèche.
Marta Dervin works with stoneware and porcelain, which she shapes either on a wheel or by hand to create simple, minimalist shapes... For her, the simplicity of shapes and colors promotes a form of freedom. His first passion, archaeology, is very present in his way of approaching his job. " I go back and forth a lot between the past and the present. I have a passion for history and I like to observe old shapes and then transform them by preserving their original structures while bringing them a more modern design. " Marta lives in Ardèche where she has established her ceramist workshop, she is inspired by the omnipresent nature .... an essential condition, according to her, to design her pieces in a preserved environment conducive to letting go and creativity.
