Piece made by hand in the workshop of Nathalie Reocreux
What pleases the most in ceramics is the experimentation with Nathalie Reocreux. Harvesting materials, crushing, pounding, sifting, mixing and revealing them by flame.
Nathalie Reocreux uses land that the ceramist harvests around her home in Brittany or during a trip, but also land that comes from small farms. The process is very long: she removes the largest pebbles and debris by pressing the earth between her fingers. The ceramist leaves the rest, this creates decor during the firing.
Nathalie also uses materials she finds for the manufacture of her enamels (granite, quartz, schist, hematite, wood and vegetable ashes, etc.)
A production that takes time and lets it be guided by randomness.
