Her pieces draw on the landscapes she observes, their nuances and their contours.

Her stoneware work runs on two tracks: tableware on one side, one-of-a-kind decorative and large-format pieces on the other. The pieces are shaped using a range of techniques — wheel-throwing, slab-building, coiling, press-moulding. Once dry, they are glazed intuitively with a brush and single-fired in a gas kiln at 1300°C.

FIRING : Gas kiln, in reduction

MATERIALS : Indian stone stoneware

TECHNIQUE : Slab-building

GLAZE: Copper glaze

COLOUR: Shades of green

DIMENSIONS : L 10cm, width 7cm, height 1.5cm

USE & CARE:

Dishwasher: Yes

NOTE: As with any handcrafted product, these pieces may show slight variations in shape, colour and thickness.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0017/4633/7890/files/43-A26-Julia-Gilles-Brutal-Ceramics-HDC-7690.jpg?v=1791233445
